Phoenix, Ariz. April 12, 2018– Terra Verde, a leading provider of cybersecurity, risk, compliance and managed security services, is pleased to announce that Hoyt Kesterson, Senior Security Architect will be speaking and facilitating 2 sessions at the RSA Conference 2018.
Hoyt’s first moderated session is on April 18, 2018 and is the annual Mock Trial. The title of the session is “Internet of Wild Things”. The Mock Trial begins at 8:00am and will cover: Personal Adventures’ product creates a virtual reality experience including tactile stimulation. As the battery gets older a software bug lets it overheat during use, possibly causing a fire, providing a session that is hotter than intended. Owners exposed to fire contacted an attorney who has filed a class action to establish a fund to recompense each owner as they come forward. Panelists involved in the Mock Trial include: Andrew Peck – United States Magistrate Judge, United States District Court Southern District of New York April Doss – Senior Minority Counsel, Senate Select Committee On Intelligence and Steven Teppler, Attorney, partner, Abbott Law Group.
Hoyt is also conducting a “Birds of a Feather” session that he is facilitating titled “Those Old Rules for Passwords – Gone!” This session begins at 12:30pm on April 19, 2018 and will cover the following scenario: We created a password obstacle course for users and demanded they run it every ninety days. Soon we’ll tell them they don’t have to visit the upper row of keys to create a password and they can keep that password longer. Let’s discuss how we tell them that without looking like sadistic loons for what we enforced for the last ten years. Attendance is strictly limited to allow for a small group experience.
“We wish to thank the RSA Conference for inviting Hoyt back to speak at RSA Conference 2018. Hoyt has participated in, and facilitated sessions at RSA Conferences since the inception of the Conference, and we are excited that he continues to be part of this great venue,” said Terra Verde CEO Edward Vasko.
